Discover Glen Rose (Arrival Day):

Start with a scenic drive, soaking in our beautiful natural surroundings. Upon arrival at your accommodation, grab your hiking shoes and get ready for an adventure-filled day! Kickstart your exploration at Big Rocks Park, where you can conquer towering boulders and take a leisurely stroll along the River Walk. Cast your line for some fishing fun or immerse yourself in the history of the area with a visit to the charming historic buildings. Visit our sweet and Historic Square, where you can treat yourself to a delicious meal at one of our downtown restaurants before indulging in a scoop of ice cream at the Soda Shop.

Day 2 : Itinerary

Excursion Day (Full Day):

Kickstart your full day of exploration with a hearty breakfast in town, setting the stage for an adventure-packed itinerary. Begin your journey at the Creation Evidence Museum, where the newly added Research Laboratory and Children’s Discovery wing promise to captivate your minds.

Next up, delve into the prehistoric world at Dinosaur World. Get hands-on with fossil digs, marvel at hundreds of life-sized dinosaur replicas, and let the little ones roam free in the dinosaur-themed playground. Pets are welcome on a leash, so bring along your furry friends.

Don’t forget to pack a cooler for lunch—you can enjoy a picnic at Dinosaur World or save it for later at the State Park, where even more exploration awaits! Discover dinosaur tracks, set up camp, picnic by the river, hike scenic trails, hit the mountain biking paths, take a refreshing swim, try your luck at fishing, or paddle along the river’s gentle currents. Plus, don’t miss out on the Ranger Programs for added insight into the natural wonders around you.

Day 3 : Itinerary

Discover (Departure Day):

Start your departure day right with a leisurely sit-down breakfast at one of our cozy mom-and-pop cafes. Fuel up for your final adventure at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

Embark on a drive-thru safari through the center, featuring an impressive array of over 55 wildlife species. Depending on the day’s traffic, the safari can take around 2 hours. Along the way, you’ll reach a midway point where you can step out of your vehicle to stretch your legs, visit the petting zoo, browse the gift shop, and grab lunch at the café. The paved route offers two lanes, allowing you to pull over on the right side whenever you want to pause and observe specific animals. It’s the perfect way to wrap up your visit to Glen Rose, Texas—truly America’s dream town! If time is tight, you can also opt to conclude the safari at the halfway mark.
